JUN 4, waterfowl: yellow-crowned night heron

YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT HERON (Nyctanassa violacea)

A monogamous marsh-dwelling guy,

Called a "night-lady" (face color's why),

Dines on crabs every night,

Stays near home, out of sight --

He's got buddies who migrate and fly.
