JAN 7, American satire: bitter anniversary

Poetry lyrics:/ Jan. the sixth, 'twenty-five came and went/ A perfunctory D.C. event./

Quickly vote counts were tallied/ (No rioters rallied) --/ Pent-up anger, it seems, had been spent./

 Yet my heart cries out, "Sinners repent!"
