JUL 9, defining opinion: hone

poetry lyrics:/ To define the verb (transitive) hone,/ Here's a meaning Fawn found
on her phone:/ (From Old English, not Gaulish)/ "Sharpen, focus or polish -- /
What you get when you whet with a stone."/ Fawn moaned, "Edit?
 I'd let it alone."

Authors' Note:  Fawn, an aspiring limericist, had been advised to carefully hone one of her submitted verses.
