DAILY ILLUSTRATED NONSENSE

A blogsite that offered 30 entertaining oddities each month from 2020 through 2024, now serving as an archive for 1800 posts accumulated over those five years. Images -- poetic (including song-lyrics), photographic, and computer-simulated -- were drawn from daily life, including work, family, travel and newsreading experiences. APR 24, Japan Visit: on to Nagoya: back in the big city environment

The Hida Express train is not a bullet train, but cruised at impressive high speeds travelling through the mountains surrounding Takayama to Nagoya in 2 hours and 20 minutes. The train is known for its oversized windows, allowing ample photographic opportunities.
